Curb Appeal Checklist

Staging your home for sale isn't just the interior of the home, it starts on the outside and works it way in. Welcome your new Buyers with some of the following Curb appeal tips.

Inspect the outside grounds. Remove any building materials, scrap wood, discarded household items, etc. from the property. Clean the grease stains off the driveway.

Wash the windows and clean the screens.

Place a nice WELCOME mat out to great your new buyers, if you have a water fountain make sure it is in running order and use it.

Check your Solar lights or malibu lighting out at night to make sure everything is shinning bright as buyers will come by at night to see and check the neighborhood and your home out.

Spiff up the front door, if it needs a coat of new paint or lacquer,then paint it.

 Wash down the sidewalks and sweep the gutters in front of your home and to the sides as well.

Make sure your address in prominently displayed for easy viewing.

How does the mail box look? Replace it or paint it.

Store garbage cans in the garage or on the side of the home.

Scan the neighborhood for Graffiti and blowing trash, if found call Graffiti busters or clean it up yourself, it is your neighborhood and first impressions when entering the subdivision are KEY.

Check the home from the roof line down.

  • Is the roof free and clear from obstructions and moss?
  • Are the gutters clear and neatly hung?
  • Are the windows clean and free from obstructions (such as overgrown bushes or trees)?
  • Are bushes, trees and shrubs neatly pruned?
  • Is the gravel Raked?
  • Inspect the condition of the paint or siding?

  • Is it time to power wash the siding?
  • Is touch up paint needed?
  • Is the front door in good shape?
  • Welcome Matt in place?
  • Do flower beds need an upgrade?

  • Are plants neatly pruned?
  • Is the bed free and clear of weeds?
  • Is the bed properly mulched?
  • Are flowers in bloom?
  • Window Boxes have blooming flowers in them?
  • Keep the lawn neatly groomed.

  • Is the lawn free from weeds?
  • Is the lawn free from grass clippings?
  • Is the lawn neatly edged?
  • Is the gravel nicely raked?
  • Edging in place?
